TARANTINO GIVES PROPS TO THE GRANGER BROTHERS

"Because a winner is always there...at winnin time." Al Bundy - 1995

Tarantino Gives Kudos to Canadian Filmmakers

TORONTO, Aug. 31 /CNW/ - A spoof on the famous "Royale with Cheese" scene
in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction is fast-tracking the career of a Canadian
filmmaking duo. The legendary filmmaker publicly selected Vancouver-based
brothers Matt and Mikey Granger as the winners of MTV's "Bastardize Tarantino"
contest.

"It was pretty surreal," said Matt Granger. "If you recreate a Tarantino
scene, it better be worthy. We knew it was funny, but to hear it from an icon
like him was unbelievable. We're huge fans so it was a real honour."

The Granger Brothers - who have had a hand in Hollywood films such as
X-Men, I, Robot, Snakes on a Plane and Good Luck Chuck - remade the scene
where actors John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson compare the McDonald's menus
in France and America, approaching it from a French perspective. Tarantino,
who has seen many remakes of the famous scene, congratulated the Grangers for
creating and executing such a "clever idea."

"This was a real clever idea," Tarantino said on MTV of the Granger
Brothers' parody. He'd seen the scene spoofed before but never from the French
perspective. "You guys did a genuinely funny scene from beginning to end. All
good. No filler."

"We've been making movies together since we were kids and have worked on
hundreds of projects," said Mikey Granger. "This was an amazing chance for us
to show what we can do. To get such recognition from one of our favourite
filmmakers was more than we could have asked for."

The boys' films have had interest from the Hollywood elite in the past.
In 2006, their short comedy "EPIC" featured rare comedic performances by
Harrison Ford and Robert Patrick (Terminator 2).

The Granger Brothers are now working on their next film project,
"Demented", which they describe as "Pulp Fiction meets Mel Brooks."

"It's important for us to stick to our inspirations like old-time
slapstick, classic comedy and our own unique brand of being ridiculous," said
Matt Granger.
